Sidney Stringer Academy Website

This successful Coventry academy school serves students from a range of ethnic and cultural communities. After producing their new website, we were asked to make sites for other academies in the same trust.

The brief

After Sidney Stringer Academy was awarded “Outstanding” status, the principal and governors decided that their website wasn’t reflecting the excellence of the school. They wanted a new site that was responsive and which made a large amount of information easily accessible to parents and students.

How First Image helped

We built a new architecture for the site with a content management system. This enables management and staff to update the site themselves. The design is simple and clean, with a colour palette matching the academy’s own branding.

Now, when you arrive on the homepage there is a clear, straightforward menu bar that makes it very easy to find the information you are looking for. The latest news is also prominent, helping convey the fact that the academy is a vibrant community with things happening all the time.

The result

“We are really pleased with the quality of the website and the way that First Image were willing to be flexible and work with us to ensure that we had a site that met our needs”, says Academy Principal Wendy Homes.

“Since then they have produced further websites for other academies in our trust. We like the way that they are willing to change the layout as our needs change. So many companies are not willing to do this on a regular basis.”

Is your school or academy website projecting a good image? Does it contain all the information parents and students need in an accessible format? At First Image we have a lot of experience working with the educational sector. It’s worth talking to us.

Project description

Sidney Stringer Academy wanted a new website that reflected their new "Outstanding" status whilst also showcasing their state-of-the-art facilities and reflecting their strong identity. It was also important that moving forward they could continue to update the site themselves, so a flexible content management system was deployed where they could add news and update the calendar features.
